1) 📊 CO2 Emissions Fall & Economy Grows :

In 2023, US greenhouse gas emissions fell 1.8% from 2022 levels, even in the light of GDP growth by 2.4%. This is due to replacement of coal with natural gas, as well as rapid growth in renewables. But, there is still much more to do. Under the Paris Agreement, the US committed to slash emissions by 50% compared from 2005, but we've only slashed by 16%. Learn more here
 

2) 🤩 Renewables @ 23% of US Electrical Generation:

This growth in renewables was led by solar, small-scale solar grew by 20.1% in 2023, and total solar grew by 30.7%. The mix of solar (5.6% total electricity generation) and wind (10% total electricity generation) is closing in on coal (15.9% of total electricity generation). Learn more here
 

3) 🛠️ 96% of New Power Plants = Clean Energy:

Renewables, batteries, and nuclear are going to make up the majority of new power capacity installments in the US in 2024. And, the US is set to install 55% more power capacity in 2024 than it did in 2023. Learn more here
