1)πŸ“Š Global Natural Gas Security:

The US and UK forces conducted airstrikes against Houthi Militants on January 22nd. This raised fear and alarm from an energy security stance. Qatar, a major liquified natural gas (LNG) supplier, decided to avoid the Red Sea. But, LNG prices continue to decline and supplies are as high as ever, partially due to a decreased demand in Asian economies. Learn more here.

2) πŸ‘€ The Copper Problem:

Much of the energy transition hinges on copper. New clean technologies are reliant on this metal, but as demand increases mines are increasingly facing delays. These delays are for good reason, it means regulation is increasing in the mining sector to allow for more humanitarian and sustainable practices. But what's going to happen as demand soars and supply plummets? Learn more here.

3) πŸ’Έ  $50 Mill to Spot Wildfires:

California startup AiDash uses satellite data and AI to spot fire and weather risks for energy companies. Its technology recognizes problem areas along power lines, such as where vegetation has grown. This keeps maintenance of power lines up-to-date. It raised $50 million in funding, a sign of the continued investment in climate change solutions. Learn more here.
