1) 🤝 Tripling Renewables @ COP:
A deal has been in the works for global leaders to agree to triple renewable energy output by the end of the decade, and more than 60 countries have agreed. But, climate activists worry about the impact if there is no concrete plan to reduce usage of fossil fuels. Learn more here
2) 💸 $13.5 Trillion in Investment for Net - Zero:
World Economic Forum recently studied industry emissions, and found that in order to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors at the scale with which we desire, we need to drastically increase investment, and hit the $13.5 Trillion goal post by 2050. Learn more here
3) 🤩 Solar from Space?!:
Solaris, a project being developed by the European Space Agency, plans to capture the energy of the sun from space and transmit it back down to Earth. There are numerous advantages to deploying solar in space, but also it is a much more difficult and expensive task than typical renewables. Learn more here
